Donald “Donnie” Charles Mitchell Jr., 74, of Millsboro, peacefully departed this life Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at Beebe Healthcare from heart failure.

A true native of Lower Slower Delaware and an expert crab wrangler, affectionately known as "Pop Crab," Donnie is survived by his daughter, Jayme; his loving granddaughters, Kylei and Sky; sister; Gail; and brother, Theodore.

A lifelong carpenter by trade, Donnie took great pride in his work and found joy in the simple things—the outdoors, a good book, tending his garden, and keeping his resident wildlife well fed.

He will be dearly missed, never forgotten, and forever loved.

A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
