Responding to Glenn Lash’s letter on the Tennessee laws regarding drag shows.
First of all, I have been to a few drag shows in my time and have never once thought, "Gee, this would be a great place to bring the kids."
It's not content for children.
Why would men scantily clad in women's clothes want to perform in front of children anyway?
No lost jobs will occur, just don't be sexual in front of kids. Simple.
Lash also commented about gender-affirming healthcare for children. These laws are being written because children do not have the mental capability to make life-altering, permanent changes to their bodies in the form of chemical castration and genital mutilation. Many can't decide what to have for lunch.
Cutting healthy breasts off a healthy 14-year-old is not gender-affirming healthcare. If anything, it's denying gender.
These actions result in irreversible damage, a lifetime of doctor appointments and being owned by the pharmaceutical company. Look at how the "I Am Jazz" star is living now after being convinced, at less than 6 years old, that he was a girl. Even his doctor said what he did was a mistake.
Many detransitioners are coming forward now and the damage done to them should be criminal. The general population is not allowed to see these individuals through the legacy media, but they are out there. Hurting, ignored and ridiculed by the very group that applauded them during the surgeries.
While gender dysphoria is real, as I'm sure you are aware, it is extremely rare and mainly affects men.
The situation happening now is a social contagion, and should be treated as such. This, unfortunately, requires passing common-sense laws to protect gender-confused kids from a life of misery. Just let them wait until they can legally purchase a lotto ticket to make these decisions.
