Charlene and Larry Duckworth have been visiting Dewey Beach for years and love the dog-friendly atmosphere, said Town Manager Bill Zolper.
In appreciation, the Duckworths presented a large canvas print to the town of their dog Sirus, who served as Dewey’s poster dog on all the dune information boards.
“He has passed but his spirit lives on in Dewey,” Zolper said. “We will hang this picture in the town lobby.”
