May 29, 2017

Davis, Bowen & Friedel Inc. announced the addition of associate Robert J. Duma, PE, in the Salisbury, Md. office. Now a senior municipal engineer licensed in Maryland and Delaware, Duma began his engineering career with the firm in 2005 serving as an intern during his senior year at Parkside High School. Duma continued as an intern each summer thereafter while he completed his engineering degree at the University of Maryland, College Park. Upon completion of his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, Duma joined the firm's municipal engineering department, and he immediately began working on a diverse range of civil engineering projects.

Duma currently serves as the pretreatment coordinator for Hurlock, Md., and Bridgeville, where he monitors industrial users for the EPA's Pretreatment Program. He also provides engineering services to local communities such as the towns of Pittsville, Berlin, Hurlock, Crisfield and Henderson in Maryland. Duma has also served a key role in the towns of Selbyville and Georgetown by providing critical design elements while recently upgrading their water treatment plant processes.

"Rob has been great to work with from his days in the basement as an intern to sitting side-by-side discussing treatment plant designs," said DBF Principal Jason P. Loar, PE. "It is a pleasure seeing a young engineer grow, and I feel with employees like Rob, the future of DBF is bright."
