Recently, Lewes residents Denis Chandler and his husband, Sebastian Di Mauro traveled to Venice to attend the Venice Biennale, the largest contemporary art show in the world. Sebastian is a sculptor from Australia and he was showing his work, Greenback. The opening of the Venice Biennale, and subsequent showings of Sebastian’s work to other artists and the Australian Ambassador to Italy went very well. Denis had fun in Venice too. He enjoyed reading the Cape Gazette at the Rialto Bridge.
