Enjoying tulips and fresh air in the midst of madness

April 11, 2020

Cape Gazette’s publisher emeritus, Dennis Forney, stands in front of the fire hall in Lewes, admiring the tulips in full bloom as he enjoys some time outdoors while the world is in such crisis. The tulips are everywhere and can be seen in so many places while hiking around Lewes. The town has many good-hearted souls who volunteer their time to keep the village beautiful in many ways. The gorgeous blooms you see around are brought to you by the hardworking volunteers of Lewes in Bloom. They are the ones who create the breathtaking gardens around town, spending countless hours to provide the community with a kaleidoscope of color.

The Cape Gazette appreciates the hard work of all the Lewes in Bloom volunteers. Your time and dedication don’t go unnoticed – you are a very big part of this village. The whole town is in awe of the beauty you have created.
