Film society to present Bocelli, ‘Last Class’ documentaries
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society announced upcoming special screenings of “Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe,” and “The Last Class,” at the Cinema Art Theater near Lewes.
Over the last 30 years, with a rare repertoire that encompasses pop, rock and opera, Andrea Bocelli and his golden voice have touched the hearts of millions of listeners around the world. Using last year’s magisterial concert at the Baths of Caracalla in Rome as its anchor, “Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe” is an intimate portrait of one of the world’s greatest living singers.
In “The Last Class,” Robert Reich, an American political economist, professor, author and social media sensation, teaches his final Wealth and Poverty class to 1,000 students at the University of California Berkeley, ending a 40-year career that reached 40,000 students. As a class of 1,000 students fills the biggest lecture hall on the UC Berkeley campus, they are the last to receive Reich's wisdom and exhortations not to accept the idea that the world has to stay the way it is. His belief in the next generation's ability to take on the fight is inspiring.
