Fins Hospitality brings Claws Seafood House to Bethany Beach
Fins Hospitality Group has announced the opening of its newest restaurant, Claws Seafood House, at 210 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach.
Since opening on Rehoboth Avenue in 2006, Claws Seafood House has become a staple for locals and visitors alike, known for its lively atmosphere, fresh seafood and standout, all-you-can-eat crab specials. The expansion into Bethany Beach allows even more guests to enjoy one of the region’s most sought-after crab house experiences.
The new location kicked things off April 2 with a soft opening, followed by its official public debut weekend. Owners TJ Linton and JR Hamer are excited to bring the Claws experience to the Bethany Beach community.
Linton began working in the restaurant industry at age 19 and joined Fins Hospitality Group in 2016. Since then, he has played a key role in opening several Fins locations, and he has managed each of the group’s restaurants during his tenure. He currently serves as district manager for Fins Hospitality Group and is a partner at Waterman’s Seafood Co. in Ocean City, Md., Fins Oyster Bar & Grill in Georgetown, and now Claws Seafood House in Bethany Beach. Linton said he looks forward to building lasting relationships with guests in Bethany Beach and establishing a loyal local following.
The son of Fins Hospitality Group owner Jeff Hamer, JR Hamer has been deeply involved in the family’s restaurant business from an early age. Over the years, he has taken on nearly every role in the restaurant, from clearing tables and washing dishes to serving guests and managing multiple locations. For JR, hospitality is more than a job, it’s a lifelong passion, just as it has been for his father. Currently attending the University of South Carolina, JR is pursuing a degree in hospitality management. He said he is dedicated to delivering the classic Claws experience, and he hopes to make the new Bethany location a place guests look forward to visiting every summer.
With their commitment to quality, hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences, Linton, Hamer and their team welcomed a strong turnout of guests during opening weekend, marking an exciting start to the restaurant’s newest chapter and their introduction to the Bethany Beach community.
