Fire and Ice Festival drink-tasting competition set Feb. 21

February 13, 2021

The Fire and Ice Festival will launch from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, with the virtual drink-tasting competition, showcasing locally owned Steel Blu Vodka and Sagamore Spirit. Local bartenders will compete to be named the Delmarvalous drink champion. All festival proceeds will benefit Nemours duPont Pediatrics and Senior Care, Sussex Campus.

For those who want to enjoy the cocktails crafted during the competition, Fire and Ice tasting tour patrons can purchase a tasting card which will allow visitors to enjoy a taste of the specialty drink created by each restaurant, along with specials and grab-n-go drinks, through Sunday, Feb. 28.

Festival events continue Friday to Sunday, Feb. 26 to 28, throughout the Quiet Resorts region. Activities will be available for enjoyment throughout the day, and ice sculptures will be lit up at night. A live sculpture demonstration will take place at Bethany Beach Ocean Suites with ice vendor Ice Lab from Baltimore. The weekend’s events will benefit local nonprofits and organizations, with the main beneficiary being Nemours duPont Pediatrics and SeniorCare, Sussex Campus.
