Fish On in Lewes welcomes guests with enhanced al fresco dining

Other SoDel restaurants follow suit
June 6, 2015

Dining outside is one of the perks of summer, and Fish On in the Villages of Five Points in Lewes recently enhanced its 48-seat patio to please customers who want to relax in a peaceful setting. Ornamental plants and herbs are interspersed throughout the space, thanks to Chris Wertz, a horticulturist with SoDel Concepts, which owns Fish On and seven other coastal restaurants.

“There is nothing better than dining out under the stars in the summer time,” said Scott Kammerer, president and CEO of SoDel Concepts, which also owns Plate Catering, Big Thunder Roadside Kitchen, a food truck, and hospitality management and consulting companies. “Whenever we can, we try to create cool outdoor spaces for our guests. Fish On’s wonderful patio lets family, friends and our neighbors at the Villages of Five Points enjoy a meal along with a slice of neighborhood ambiance.”

In addition to the 11 tables on the patio, there are clusters of Adirondack chairs, where guests can sit while waiting for a table.

Other outdoor spaces include the decks at Papa Grande’s Coastal Taqueria locations in Rehoboth Beach and Fenwick Island, Catch 54’s decks, also in Fenwick Island, the enhanced patio at NorthEast Seafood Kitchen in Ocean View and the deck at Bluecoast Seafood Grill in Bethany Beach.
