Florida couple shares unforgettable anniversary at Haunted Mansion

Jim and Robyn Hartnett of Nokomis, Fla. celebrated their anniversary in Rehoboth Beach over Sea Witch weekend.

While growing up in Newark, Jim visited Rehoboth Beach and Funland every summer. “I always loved Funland, especially the Haunted Mansion,” he said.

Robyn, who had never been to Rehoboth Beach, reached out to Ian and Fiona Curry, operators of the Haunted Mansion. Even though the amusement center is closed for the season, the Currys invited Jim and Robyn inside the Haunted Mansion attraction and gave them a detailed tour of the ride. They explained where items came from and what they do to maintain it, said Jim.

“It was above and beyond what we could have ever expected, and was truly a once-in-a-lifetime visit,” said Jim. “We are so appreciative of them and how incredibly special they made the day. I can’t say enough about their kindness and generosity. We even got to go on a Funland shopping spree inside the gift shop. I now have every Haunted Mansion shirt available!”
