Good Ole Boy Foundation brings living nativity to The Circle
Annual event draws people for candlelight carols

The angel Gabriel watches over The Circle in Georgetown from atop the Good Ole Boy Foundation’s living nativity Dec. 21. It was the seventh year the nativity was set up for an evening of Christmas carols and candlelight.

The candles were lit, the carols were sung and a large crowd celebrated the true meaning of Christmas on The Circle in Georgetown Dec. 21.
The annual Good Ole Boy Foundation’s living nativity brought the community together for a candlelight service on a chilly night.
K.C. Conaway emceed the event and offered prayers for the holiday season. Pastor Leon Powell of Dagsboro Church of God also offered testimonials.
Musicians from the Dagsboro church performed traditional Christmas songs for the carol sing-along.
This was the seventh year the Good Ole Boy Foundation set up the living nativity in The Circle. It debuted in 2019, a direct response to the removal of a lighted nativity that had been set up in The Circle for many years by Georgetown Wesleyan Church.
Georgetown passed an ordinance prohibiting unattended private displays on public property. The Good Ole Boy Foundation, based in Millsboro, created the living nativity to continue the Christmas tradition.
