Grove Park to host Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival for fifth year May 17

May 9, 2025

The 5th annual Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival will kick off the area’s summer outdoor art show season from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 17, in picturesque Grove Park. In downtown Rehoboth near the canal, 35 artists working in varying styles, mediums and techniques will showcase and sell their work, giving attendees the opportunity to buy original pieces and mingle with their creators. The event is presented through a partnership between the Rehoboth Art League and the City of Rehoboth Beach.

Known for its annual events that draw discerning local collectors, as well as those vacationing from the Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York City areas, the Rehoboth Art League presents this event to bring creative minds to coastal Delaware. Attendees should note that parking meters and side-street permits are in effect in Rehoboth as of Thursday, May 15.

Participating artists are art league members and have been juried into the show based on their respective mediums. Each artist will have their own booth along the pathways of Grove Park, and sales transactions will be completed with each individual artist. Go to rehobothartleague.org for the complete list of juried artists.

Event artist Jon Bandish has donated an original oil painting titled "Swells" for a raffle prize to help raise funds to support RAL education and exhibition programs. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20, offering a chance to win this painting valued at $1,100. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the art league campus in Henlopen Acres or online, as well as on event day at the RAL membership tent. The drawing will take place after the festival closes May 17.

There is no event-designated parking for the Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival. Grove Park is adjacent to the area's bike trail. The rain-or-shine event is free and open to everyone.

The Rehoboth Art League is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The division promotes Delaware arts events at DelawareScene.com.
