GWFC Women’s Clubs donate to Lewes nonprofit

When the GFWC Middle Atlantic Region Annual Conference convened in Rehoboth Beach, the Women's Club of Indian River collected donations for What Is Your Voice, a Lewes-based nonprofit that empowers and assists survivors of domestic violence. 

In conjunction with the GFWC International Day of Service, hundreds of personal hygiene items valued at more than $5,000 were collected, along with cash donations totaling $635.

All donations were recently presented to Jacqueline Sterbach, president and founder of What Is Your Voice. Through skilled peer support advocacy and holistic care, the group helps provide pathways to long-term independence. Support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for those in need in Sussex County.
