Hand therapist Amanda Pender joins Aquacare in Millsboro

Aquacare Physical Therapy recently welcomed Amanda Pender, DPT, as a physical therapist in its Millsboro office.

Pender graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., with a degree in neuroscience. She then went to Duke University in Durham, N.C., where she earned her doctoral degree in physical therapy.

After graduating, she continued her education with several certifications such as Maitland certification of manual therapy and American Institute of Balance-Vestibular Certification along with becoming an APTA-certified clinical instructor.

She also concentrates in the treatment of wrist and hand injuries with a specialization in making custom-fabricated splints for wrist/hand/finger injuries.

Pender has more than 10 years of experience as a physical therapist, with her areas of interest including manual therapy for a variety of disorders, vestibular disorders and balance disorders, and orthopedic injuries.

Pender is available to see patients at the Millsboro office, 26744 John J. Williams Highway, Suite 6, Millsboro.
