Happy hour at Lightship Overfalls reset for May 30

Due to the weather forecast and an unanticipated conflict with the Little League playing field, the Overfalls Foundation has rescheduled its first canalside happy hour of the year for 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 30, at the Lightship Overfalls, 219 Pilottown Road, Lewes.

Attendees can listen to the music of Cathy Gorman, have a beer or a glass of wine, and enjoy the opportunity to see the ship. Organizers will also be celebrating the ship’s “birthday,” which is traditionally the anniversary of the ship’s christening, the first time it touched water in 1938. Both the ship and the store will be open to the public. There is no admission charge, and donations are welcome.
