Harry K thankful for Schellville

March 8, 2022

This past holiday season, the spectacular Schellville Christmas Village, designed and built by Schell Brothers, was an immeasurable success for all those involved. The attraction was a magical experience for attendees and brightened the holiday season for local residents and visitors. The tickets were free, and over 100,000 people attended this incredible Christmas spectacular.

On behalf of the board members of the Harry K Foundation and the children we serve, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge how incredibly meaningful this event was for the foundation and the children of Delaware. In addition to producing this free event for the benefit of the community, the Schellville Village experience provided a donation in excess of $100,000 to the Harry K Foundation. We are very thankful for all the vendors who participated in the Schellville Christmas event and helped to make it such a success. This donation will provide nourishment for food-insecure children throughout the state of Delaware. A donation of this magnitude will help to feed children through the foundation’s school pantries and weekend backpacks, and to support our new Desert Oases Program that will extend our outreach to deliver food to communities in need.

I would like to thank Schell Brothers for their continuing partnership with the Harry K Foundation. I greatly applaud their efforts and hard work in creating an experience that will have a long-lasting effect on the children in need in our community. I extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for their partnership and their donation to help feed hungry children in Delaware.
