Henry Hanna, CCIM, SIOR, senior advisor with Sperry Van Ness-Miller Commercial Real Estate in Salisbury, Md., was presented the Bill Vernon Innovator of the Year Award by the Peninsula Commercial Alliance. This award, inaugurated in 2014, is presented to an outstanding commercial agent who exemplifies and actively demonstrates goodwill in the community, thereby promoting commercial real estate. The awardee's impact on the community should be demonstrated by mentoring or another positive community service.
“Henry Hanna epitomizes leadership in our community and is always willing to be a mentor for all of our advisors at SVN-Miller,” says Brent Miller, managing director of SVN-Miller. “His contribution to our office and culture is invaluable.”
Hanna has been active in commercial real estate for over 40 years and has become one of the most influential commercial and industrial brokers on the Delmarva Peninsula. He holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation and also the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors designation. In addition to mentoring young commercial realtors in the community, he gives back to local nonprofits by consulting and advising them when a need arises for the purchase of real estate. In the words of SVN-Miller Senior Advisor John McClellan, “Henry has always been an even-keeled encourager that we all look to for guidance.”
The Peninsula Commercial Alliance was created in 2011 by realtors serving the Sussex and lower Maryland shore counties. The goal of the organization is to bring commercial real estate professionals together along with others serving the industry such as developers, bankers and government officials.
