Homewatch Concierge earns accreditation for 13th year

Homewatch Concierge has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association for the 13th year. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for home watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada. Home watch is a visual inspection of a home or property that looks for obvious issues, which means it is a service that keeps an eye on things at clients’ vacation or primary homes while they are not in residence. All principals of NHWA Accredited Member companies are background-checked, insured and bonded.

Homewatch Concierge became an early member of the NHWA in 2012. With the rapid expansion of beach and vacation homes in Rehoboth and surrounding beach areas, there is a large number of homes to service. Tjark Bateman saw the opportunity to join the business in 2014 and become the company principal. It was a perfect fit for Bateman, who had compiled more than 25 years of customer service working with his family’s business. He was born and raised in Sussex County, where he is extremely active in his community. He supports local groups like the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and Museum, Rehoboth Art League and Children’s Beach House. He also supports the Jimmy V Foundation on a national level. Bateman served on the Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission and the Delaware Environmental Appeals Board. He is also a founding member of Community Bank Delaware. Bateman lives in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and daughter.

JB Moore joined Homewatch Concierge in May 2016 and became co-owner, bringing more than 15 years of hospitality industry experience with him. Before Homewatch Concierge, he served as a manager for several different local hotels. He serves on the board of directors for Coastal Properties, a hotel management company. Moore was born and raised in Rehoboth Beach, and feels proud and lucky to live in such a beautiful beach community. He is a graduate of Elon University and resides in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and five children. Both Moore and Bateman are licensed Delaware Realtors.

Homewatch Concierge became an association member in 2012. With so many beach and vacation homes located in Rehoboth and surrounding beach areas, there are plenty of owners who need this service.

Co-owner Tjark Bateman joined Homewatch Concierge in April 2014, after 25 years of customer service experience working in his family business. He is also a Realtor in Rehoboth Beach. Bateman was born and raised in Sussex County.

Bateman is a founding board member of Community Bank Delaware.
