How do you define ‘progress?’

January 2, 2020

I believe if we asked a dozen folks “How do you define progress?,” we would get at least 12 very different responses.

As a resident of Lewes (just over two years now) I have witnessed an expansive development movement with little or no apparent rhyme or reason, other than the generation of revenue for the so-called pious entrepreneurs looking to pocket the last buck possible and then the City of Lewes looking for the additional revenue.

As a former funeral director, actually current funeral director in another state, I have come to realize that when a person departs their earthly journey, few take their accumulated wealth with them; as generally a limousine follows the hearse - not a Brink’s truck!

My friends, profit at the expense of protection is an evil that one day may well be the variable that determines one’s residence in eternity!

Where will you reside?
