Hudson Fields, Delaware FC partner to boost youth soccer programs
Hudson Fields has announced a new partnership with Delaware FC that will establish Hudson Fields as the primary Southern Delaware home for Delaware FC’s youth soccer programs.
The collaboration expands access to high-quality soccer facilities in Sussex County while strengthening Hudson Fields’ role as a premier multisport and community venue.
The partnership includes significant field upgrades at Hudson Fields featuring new, state-of-the-art artificial turf fields designed specifically for soccer, as well as additional Bermuda grass fields to complement the existing cool-season grass surfaces. These improvements will support year-round play, larger tournaments and expanded capacity for youth sports programming.
A portion of the upgrades is supported by a grant from the Delaware Tourism Office’s Sports Tourism Capital Investment Fund, which helps finance facilities that attract regional and out-of-state sporting events. The enhancements are expected to position Hudson Fields to host expanded youth soccer tournaments, generating increased tourism activity and economic impact throughout Sussex County.
“This partnership marks an important next step for Hudson Fields and for youth sports in Southern Delaware,” said Christian Hudson, owner of Hudson Fields. “Delaware FC brings a strong track record in player development, and together, we are making a long-term investment in facilities that serve families, support local tourism and strengthen our community.”
Scott Mosier, Delaware FC sporting director, said, “Our partnership with Hudson Fields will have a meaningful impact on youth sports in Southern Delaware. With its premier location in Milton and newly developed, state-of-the-art facilities, Hudson Fields offers an exceptional setting to host a wide range of tournaments and leagues across multiple sports. This collaboration will expand opportunities for young athletes and elevate the overall youth sports experience in the region.”
Delaware FC brings a long and successful history of youth sports management in club soccer, serving more than 4,000 players across the state. Building on that foundation, the organization is expanding its programming into Southern Delaware, creating new pathways for player development and broadening access to high-quality competitive opportunities statewide.
