The Jefferson School offers new Merit Award program
The Jefferson School is now offering a merit scholar award for incoming sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students who are new to TJS.
Students who have a record of academic achievement, but who otherwise would be unable to afford the price of the school's high-quality, private education are welcome to apply.
Merit scholar applicants are those who will profit most from the transforming quality of The Jefferson School’s education, have a demonstrated record of academic achievement, bring a special talent or ability to the school community and demonstrate a financial need as determined by the SSS financial aid application.
Students who wish to apply for a merit scholarship must complete the standard admissions application to The Jefferson School, application fee waived, submit academic transcripts, complete the SSS financial aid application at nais.org, and complete academic testing and a personal interview.
Testing will be held Saturday, May 11, at The Jefferson School campus.
Merit scholarship awards vary and are based on available funds and the individual student’s needs. These awards typically range from half of the tuition cost to full tuition cost through eighth-grade graduation.
For guaranteed seating on the day of testing, contact Connie Hendricks at 302-856-3300. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with testing to begin promptly at 9 and end at 12:30 p.m.
