Joseph Patrick Fabber Memorial Foundation feeds needy at Thanksgiving

December 25, 2018

For the third year in a row, volunteers from the Joseph Patrick Fabber Memorial Foundation fed the needy this Thanksgiving.

Foundation volunteers set up a makeshift dining room in the JPFMF offices in Georgetown. With food catered by Truck It Custom American Cuisine food truck, they provided more than 50 people with a traditional Thanksgiving feast to enjoy. Attendees included of mix of needy families, homeless people, veterans and a few folks who didn’t want to be alone this year.

Michael Fabber, JPFMF executive director, said, “We saw that there was a need for the less fortunate in the area, and that there were people that had nowhere to go. Our goal was to give as many people as we could a warm meal, a place to relax, and to let those people know that someone cares about them.”

The JPFMF works year-round to provide psychiatric and motivational services to Georgetown and surrounding areas. It offers individual and group counseling, equine-assisted therapy, business consulting and leadership retreats.
