The City of Lewes is vying for national recognition from America in Bloom, a "nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting national wide beautification programs and personal and community involvement through thew use of flowers, plants, trees and other environmental and lifestyle enhancements."
A welcoming judges breakfast was held at the Lewes Yacht Club July 17 where volunteers and members of Lewes in Bloom could meet and greet America in Bloom judges Leslie Pittenger and Bruce Riggs.
