Kathleen S. Delgado, Obed Delgado Sr., loving couple

Kathleen S. Delgado was born in Wilmington Dec. 28, 1947, and went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 6, 2020. Obed Delgado Sr. was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico July 21, 1942, and went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
Kathleen and Obed were loved by all who knew them. They had hearts for the people. They opened their homes to many, fed many, lent a helping hand to many, or just simply gave advice to many. Kathleen and Obed were wonderful parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunt, uncle, sister, brother and friends.
Family meant everything to them and they were always stronger together in life and in death. They leave behind a true love legacy in their children: Obed Delgado Jr. (Maryann) of Camden, Steven K. Stapleford (Silvia) of Greenwood, Samuel J. Delgado (Mark) of Hopkinton, N.H., Mark A. Delgado (Kathy) of Marydel, Kathleen G. Delgado (Chuck) of Hartly, Linda M. Amonittti (Robert) of Oxford, Pa., and Nikki A Delgado-Collins (Mike) of Dover’;grandchildren: Sarah, Christy, Obed, Brandy, Andrew, Megan, Luke, Diego, Isabella, Kevin, Steven, Thomas, Brittney, Selena, Kyle, Alyssa, Alanna, Bobby, Illiana, and Zayne; also 19 great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Stapleford and Norman Stapleford; and five siblings.
Obed was preceded in death by his parents, Jose' Delgado and Catalina Aponte'-Delgado, and four siblings. Both are survived by many siblings.

Funeral arrangements are private. A celebration of life will come at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local food banks.
