Kenneth J. Dunn, talented woodworker

Kenneth J. Dunn of Bethany Beach died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018.

He was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Baltimore, Md., the son of the late Delmas J. and Edna G. (Holland) Dunn. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

After attending Poly High School in Baltimore, Ken served in the U.S. Navy. He also attended Johns Hopkins University. He was an avid and talented woodworker, and enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Baltimore Ravens. Ken was a member of Millville Methodist Church and was a past master of Tuscan Lodge #202 in Towson, Md. He was also a member of Scottish Rite, Boumi Shrine, and the Ocean City Shrine Club.

Ken is survived by his wife of 70 years, Charlotte (Rosenthal); and their three children, Linda Dunn of Newark, Susan Klein (Mark) of Ellicott City, Md., and Kenneth Jr. (Joan) of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren - Heather Cleary, Christopher Dawson and Taylor Klein, his great-grandson, Braden Dawson; and three siblings, Ronald Dunn (Verona), Roger Dunn (Leslie) and Karen Boyd (John).

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, March 3, at Millville Methodist Church where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Monday, March 5, at 10 a.m., at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
