Letter: Stockings for Soldiers says thanks

November 6, 2018

The recent article describing the Stockings for Soldiers program was a good description of how it brings some holiday cheer to servicemen and women around the world.  And the accompanying picture showing smiling recipients with their monogramed stockings was a great addition.  Unfortunately, when the article was submitted, several generous contributors were left out. The residents of Oakwood Village at Lewes have sewn hundreds of stockings to be stuffed as well as making generous donations.  And members of the Lewes Senior Center have contributed supplies and donations.  Many thanks to them, and to any other group that we might have missed.  We appreciate all that you do.
