Letter: Trump is not a hero

November 30, 2018

According to Henry McGough of Millsboro, we should vote for Donald Trump because he is a hero for veterans, despite his many failed promises. According to McGough, any criticism of President Trump is “fake news” just as any proven facts are, according to Trump supporters, fake.

Certainly, Donald Trump should be supporting veterans. After paying his family doctor to provide an excuse to avoid serving in the military, he owes those of us who willingly served during the Vietnam War that much.

And that goes for any other president or elected official who avoided serving in the military when needed.
