Lewes in Bloom is a volunteer organization of more than 410 members. Each year, its volunteers give thousands of hours planting thousands of bulbs and plants throughout the city to promote the beautification and maintenance of Historic Lewes. The group is dedicated to helping Lewes enhance its attractiveness through historic preservation, environmental awareness, a children’s garden, a pollinator garden, floral displays and more.

With Lewes in Bloom’s assistance, Lewes won the 2018 Communities in Bloom International Challenge Award for the most beautiful medium-sized town in the world, and it was the only town in the United States invited to participate in a 2019 public garden project in Cervia, Italy.

In 2022, Lewes in Bloom won the America in Bloom award for the Most Beautiful Small Town in America.
