Lewes DAR chapter donations to be matched through Dec. 31

December 10, 2020

The Col. David Hall Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution has received the commitment for a matching grant from the charitable foundation of Jessie Ball duPont. The grant will match online donations from individuals of between $5 and $250 made to the chapter through Thursday, Dec. 31.

For the chapter to be eligible, board member and Chapter Regent Kathy Lindemer went through a detailed application process, took online training and met virtually with representatives of the fund. The chapter regularly raises funds to maintain the historic Maull House in Lewes and grants monetary awards for good citizenship and to support homeless veterans at Home of the Brave in Milford.

To donate to the Col. David Hall Chapter and enable the organization to receive a matching gift, go to brickmarkersusa.com/donors/cdhc.html and click on the yellow donate button.

The DAR is a service organization for women who have descended from a patriot who served in the American Revolution. The group is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through education.
