Lewes library to offer teen job fair workshop March 26
The Lewes Public Library will host its 9th Annual Teen Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.
The annual fair connects teen applicants with local businesses to discuss seasonal and/or year-round employment opportunities. The fair is free of charge and open to all teens ages 14-19. No registration is required.
Participating employers include: Dairy Queen, Funland, Jungle Jim’s, Life is Good, Rehoboth Toy and Kite Co., Sussex Family YMCA, Thrasher’s French Fries and Zelky’s.
To help teens put their best foot forward at the March 28 event, a job fair prep workshop will be offered at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 26. The session will cover a wide range of topics for teen job seekers, from applications and interview techniques to work permits, tax forms, employment law and professional etiquette. Advance registration is required for the workshop.
“Along with our preparation workshop, the teen job fair is a great opportunity for teens to learn to navigate the job market and build confidence with applications and interviews,” said Jennifer Noonan, youth services director. “This is a wonderful opportunity to connect community businesses with an enthusiastic group of job-seekers.”
