Lewes library receives $5,000 donation in support of summer series

The Rev. Dr. S. Willard Crossan III, Groome Church pastor, and church trustee Retta Rose Frampton recently visited the Lewes Public Library to present a $5,000 donation to support the the inaugural summer series in its new outdoor pavilion.

Crossan thanked Lewes Public Library Director Jill DiPaolo and Development Director Rebecca Lowe for their good work, and the variety of programs and activities the library offers throughout the year to improve and enrich community members’ lives.

DiPaolo said, “The Lewes Public Library is excited to bring the inaugural SummerScape Series at the library pavilion to Lewes this summer with the generous support of our premier sponsor, Groome Church. We are grateful to have Groome as a neighbor, friend and supporter of our vision of being a preferred place for cultural and social interaction in our community.”

Frampton said, “Groome’s congregation is thankful, and doubly blessed to have the library as both a friend and good neighbor.”
