Lewes sailors on Greek Odyssey cruise enjoy Cape Gazette

December 15, 2019

Taking leave onshore at the Aegina Nautical Club during their 2019 Greek Odyssey cruise, these hardy sailors took time to catch up on the happenings in their hometown of Lewes.

The group sailed a 48-foot catamaran to the islands of Kea, Andros, Delos, Mykonos, and Kythnos in the Cyclades, and Spetses, Hydra, Poros, Aegina, and Minos in the Saronic.

Skipper Vagelis Dardanos from Andros was invaluable with his docking skills and knowledge of the local waters, along with the best Greek food including octopus, barracuda, marinated small fish, grouper and much more!

Shown (l-r) are: Vagelis Dardanos, Jim Carpenter, Patsy Carpenter, Susan Hall, John Hall, Jan Steele, and Donn Steele.
