Little Vikings Preschool hosts family engagement night

Little Vikings Preschool welcomed families for an evening of connection, learning and play during its spring family engagement night March 2.
The event brought together families, educators and community partners to celebrate the importance of early learning and family involvement.
Families began the evening by enjoying dinner together before gathering for a special story time led by educators Linda Thomas and Silvana Yunis. After the read-aloud, families rotated through six spring-themed activity rooms featuring hands-on experiences centered around farms, bugs, oceans, rainbows, flowers and the zoo.
Each room provided attendees with simple, play-based learning ideas and resources they could use at home to help foster their child’s curiosity and love of learning. Activities highlighted how everyday materials and playful interactions can help build early language, math and social-emotional skills.
The evening also featured several community partners that shared valuable resources available to local families, including Read Aloud Delaware, La Red Health Center, Delaware Readiness Teams, Cape Henlopen Parents and Teachers, Cape Henlopen Bookmobile and the Cape Dual-Language Immersion Program.
The event offered families a sneak peek into the Little Vikings program and the meaningful learning experiences students participate in each day with the support of its dedicated staff. Events like this reflect Little Vikings Preschool’s commitment to building strong partnerships among school, family and community while supporting young learners.
