Local business leader visits Sussex Academy as Principal for a Day

November 15, 2021

Michael Bell, president of Harvard Business Services in Lewes, participated in the Delaware Principal for a Day Program with a visit to Sussex Academy Oct. 19.

The program, started in 1993, allows community business leaders to visit Delaware schools with a goal of creating stronger connections between school leaders and the business community.

As Principal for a Day, Bell toured the Sussex Academy elementary and secondary campuses, monitored high school lunches and spoke to students in personal finance classes.

Since 2018, Bell has been president of Harvard Business Services, which his father Rick Bell started in 1981. The company helps form and maintain Delaware LLCs and corporations, and is the third largest incorporator in the state. It currently represents more than 100,000 entities as a registered agent, and it has helped form over 300,000 companies.

Sussex Academy is a public charter, tuition-free school offering an accelerated academic program for Delaware students in kindergarten through 12th grade. To learn more, go to sussexacademy.org.
