Local DAR chapter to host historic tour, bake sale April 18 in Lewes

April 15, 2026

The Col. David Hall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution invites the public to a free Open House and Bake Sale at the historic Thomas Maull House from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 18. The event coincides with the final day of the annual Lewes Tulip Celebration.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by the house at 536 Pilottown Road, Lewes, while enjoying the vibrant tulip displays all over town. Guests can tour the property, view recent refurbishments and learn about the rich history of one of the town’s oldest surviving homes.

Built around 1739, the Maull House is a treasured local landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The open house offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and explore the early history of Lewes in an authentic colonial setting.

In addition to the tours, attendees can enjoy a variety of homemade baked goods available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Maull House. All are welcome to attend this family-friendly event.
