Long Neck Sunrise Rotary inducts new members, officers

During a special evening meeting held at the Clubhouse at The Peninsula, the Long Neck Sunrise Rotary Club inducted a new slate of officers and board to serve the club for the 2018-19 fiscal year. Six new members were also officially added to the club, with Assistant District Gov. Jack Riddle officiating.

Assuming the role of president will be Mike Hall. Joining him will be Past President Paulette Rappa; Treasurer and President nominee Lucille Cavan; President-Elect John Berner; and Secretary Dan Reed. All are residents of Millsboro.

The 2018-19 board slate sworn in were Membership Development and Retention Chair Paulette Rappa, Rotary Foundation Chair Fred Gibbs, Youth Services Committee Chair Tracey Gross, Business and Community Connections Chair John Berner, Program Coordinator Judy Hall, and Adopt-a-Highway Program Coordinator Dan Reed, all residents of Millsboro. Marketing Communications Committee Chair is Sharon Marshall, a Lewes resident.

During the event, Rappa expressed her appreciation to club members for their particular areas of service. Hall stressed the commitment of the club to youth services, the club's main area of service.

The club also inducted six new members including Connie Little, Mark Moscowitz, Lynn Henry, Barry Henry, Kelley Gabbard and Howard Farrar, all of Millsboro.

Long Neck Sunrise Rotary Club meets weekly for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Ocean Grill II on Long Neck Road, Millsboro. Visitors are welcome.
