Louise (Priscilla) Brown Ringgold, dedicated employee

March 9, 2017

Louise (Priscilla) Brown Ringgold, 62, of Milford, entered into eternal rest Friday, Feb. 23, 2017, after a long and hard-fought battle due to cancer.

She attended Indian River High School in Frankford, and recently continued to pursue her education. Louise was a dedicated employee of Allen Family Foods in Harbeson, Townsend's Hatchery in Millsboro, and Perdue Farms in Milford for over five years. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Ellendale, where her pastor Iona Smith Nze resides. She was also a member of The Missionary Society, not to mention a prayer warrior who loved her Lord and Savior, therefore she loved to go to various nursing homes to sit and pray for the elderly.

The apples of her eye were her kids and 10 grandchildren; she also loved to travel. She always spoke her mind and didn't mind helping you if you were in need, and never had a problem telling anyone about themselves if you were in the wrong.

Louise leaves to cherish her two daughters, Janet Brown of Smyrna and Elaine Brown of Laurel; and her only son, Frankie Brown of Baltimore, Md. Also in mourning are her sisters, Mae Hopkins and Mary Brown of Millsboro, Althea Brown of Delmar, Doreen Woodus of Harrington, Sally of Florida and Lucille of Felton; her brothers: Walter Brown of Selbyville, David Brown of Clarksville, Joe Brown of Milford, Larry Brown of Georgetown, and Noah Brown of Millsboro; and her half sisters: Dolly, Sarah and Nancy Sturgis also from Delaware.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Mae Turnage; her father Walter Brown; and recently her youngest daughter who always said, "I Can't Deal," or “Don't Nobody Have Time for Your Shenanigans,” our beloved Nicole (Noonie) Brown.

Celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 11, at noon, with a viewing two hours prior to service at St John's 2nd Baptist Church, 26602 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro.

Condolence may be may be sent and guestbook signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com. Professional service entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Seaford.
