LRAC honors John Mossel of Westminster Presbyterian

June 2, 2019

Westminster Presbyterian Church member John Mossel was honored at the May 14 meeting of the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches for his 15 years of service. Mossel served on the LRAC board and also as chairman of the Finance and Property Committee, along with other assignments.

LRAC comprises representatives from many area churches serving the interests of community and charitable activities in a united effort. In addition to working with LRAC, Mossel served as church treasurer and financial secretary at Westminster Presbyterian.

He has been strongly interested in ministries in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He reported on the work of Friends of Butoke in the Congo, where Dr. Cecile De Sweemer (now deceased) and Dr. Jean Lumbala, president of Butoke, operated an orphanage, school, and hospital in Kananga.

The award reads, “In appreciation for your 15 years of service to the ministries of LRAC.”

Westminster members and staff join in acknowledging the dedicated work of John Mossel.
