Main Street housing Railroad Era Rehoboth Avenue diorama

March 1, 2021

Until a permanent location can be established for Paul Lovett’s diorama of Rehoboth Avenue, Rehoboth Beach Main Street has graciously permitted the display to be located in its building at 509 Rehoboth Ave. near Grove Park.

Lovett said he is particularly appreciative because it allows him access to present the display and share stories with folks interested in experiencing Rehoboth during its railroad era. The diorama can be seen at its Main Street location by appointment, under COVID-19 responsible visitation guidelines.

To schedule a visit, contact Paul Lovett at 302-893-9391 or paul@pdlovett.com.

The diorama is a multi-year project to re-create Rehoboth Avenue as it looked during the railroad era. Buildings and features are created by professional model builders to N-gauge standards. Each structure is an accurate depiction as it existed circa 1910.

The diorama will eventually display Rehoboth Avenue from Horn’s Pier over the ocean to the west side of the canal where the railroad engine turned around twice a day.
