Man, 22, seriously injured in assault near Dewey Beach

Police are investigating after a 22-year-old man was attacked and seriously injured Aug. 13 on Route 1 north of Dewey Beach.
The violent assault happened about 1:30 a.m. outside Fifer’s Farm Kitchen, police said. The man was hospitalized and has received extensive medical treat for a fractured jaw and nose, police said.
Police ask anyone who has information on the assault to contact Cpl. M. Aberman at 302-703-3363; send a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police; or submit a tip to Delaware Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous, police said.
