McKee Group golf tourney raises $106K for women’s charity

Model home tour event set Nov. 13-14 at Friendship Creek
November 5, 2021

The McKee Group hosted its 15th annual Frank A. McKee Golf Classic Sept. 30 at White Clay Creek Country Club. The event raised a record $106,000 to support Home of the Sparrow, a nonprofit that provides housing, education, life skills training, counseling and access to local resources for single women and mothers who are in danger of losing their homes.

“It is important to us at The McKee Group that we give back to our community, so we are grateful that this event is so successful,” said McKee Builders Vice President Frank J. McKee Jr. “We want to thank all of the donors and volunteers who supported the event or came out to participate. We had the most golfers ever attend and play in the tournament this year. So a big ‘thank you’ to all.”

McKee Builders, an affiliate of The McKee Group, currently has two communities under development in Sussex County – The Grove at Fenwick Island and Friendship Creek near Frankford.

A Muddy Shoe event is set for Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13 and 14, at Friendship Creek, where attendees can tour the model homes under construction, and experience the spaciousness and luxury firsthand. To sign up, go to mckeebuilders.com.
