Epworth United Methodist Church will host Yule Love It, Too!, the 2nd Annual Christmas Cantata and Community Concert at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9. During the first half, the Epworth Chancel Choir, under the direction of Doug Yetter, will perform the Christmas Cantata "Sing Joy to All the World" by Lloyd Larson.
The second half of the evening's musical entertainment will feature national recording artists Mercy's Well performing songs from their two Christmas CDs, "December" and "Bethlehem Sky." Next, the Epworth Praise Team will perform a host of contemporary Christmas music with the evening ending with good old-fashioned sing-along led by the ever-popular CAMP Rehoboth Ensemble.
Epworth Director of Music Ministries Doug Yetter has assured all that a big man in red and white will be on hand, so audience members can bring cameras and grab a picture with him. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served at intermission.
Mercy's Well will have CDs available for sale and for signing. Their performances and recordings are a testament to their versatility as they encompass a variety of musical genres from gospel to contemporary Christian. For more information, go to www.mercyswell.com.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Discounted tickets are available for children 12 and under. To purchase tickets, buy them Sunday mornings at the church, in the church office Monday to Friday or go to www.eumcrb.org/yule. Last year's event sold out, so buying tickets early is recommended.
