Cape graduate accepting new patients

Former lifeguard Michael Keller has returned to the Cape Region to provide dental services.

Keller brings his upbeat personality and dental skills to Rehoboth Beach Dental. He joins veteran dentist Curtis Leciejewski DDS at the practice, behind Timothy's off Route 1.

After graduating from Cape Henlopen High School, Keller attended University of Delaware and pursued a dental degree at Temple University in Philadelphia before finishing up his residency at Christiana Care in New Castle County.

Keller and his wife, Lauren, brought their 1-year-old daughter, Lily, back to the Rehoboth area to live near friends and family.

"My family was here, and I always knew I would come back here after school," Keller said.

"Growing up, I had a lot of fillings and Dr. Leciejewski was my dentist since 2001," said Keller. "I was here a lot."

It was Keller's good experiences with Dr. L that drew him to dentistry during college.

"I was getting a biochemistry degree and looking at what I wanted to do," Keller said. "Dentistry just seemed to fit."

Dr. L served as Keller's mentor. When Keller wasn't at school, he shadowed Leciejewski in Rehoboth and worked as a summer lifeguard on the beach.

"I love it here. I couldn't wait to get back," Keller said.

Rehoboth Beach Dental specializes in general and cosmetic dentistry. The office accepts walk-in patients, emergency cases and new patients. Keller joined the practice in July.

"Our philosophy is to work with the patient and make them comfortable while they are here," Keller said. "We schedule an hour and 20 minutes for each patient's visit so we can give them a full, comprehensive exam."

Rehoboth Beach Dental is located at 19643 Blue Bird Lane, Suite 1, Rehoboth Beach. For more information or to make an appointment, call 302-226-7960, or go to rehobothbeachdental.com. Also visit them on Facebook.
