Milford man charged with murder in shooting

A Milford man faces murder and other charges after the shooting death of another man in the Windward Grove development July 10.

Police arrested Joseph Greene, 42, in Bear July 11, with help from the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team. Greene was wanted in connection to the fatal shooting a day earlier at a home in the 7500 block of Wickersham Lane in the Windward Grove development in Milford. Police said Greene shot Kyle Tribble of Philadelphia, Pa., during an argument. Milford police said witnesses and arriving emergency responders tried lifesaving measures, but Tribble died from a single gunshot.

Greene was charged with first-degree murder, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the Department of Correction in default of $710,000 cash bond pending a preliminary hearing in Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
