Milton Community Food Pantry thanks letter carriers

May 16, 2019

On May 11, letter carriers throughout the country held their 27th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. In those 27 years they have collected over 1.5 billion pounds of food for local food pantries. This year in Milton our letter carriers collected over 2,000 pounds of nonperishable food which was donated to the Milton Community Food Pantry.

We would like to thank the hardworking letter carriers and all postal workers who helped in this massive collection and distribution effort.
We would also like to thank the many volunteers who responded to the call for help to transport the food, check expiration dates, sort the food and store the food for later distribution! These hardworking folks spent part of their Mother’s Day helping at the pantry. Our volunteers are the best!

We also need to thank the very generous residents of Milton and the surrounding area. Your generosity in donating the much-needed nonperishable food makes it all possible!

Thank you all!
