At its Sept. 11 meeting, Milton Town Council unanimously approved a request by SipUrban Farmhouse coffee shop and restaurant to have two outdoor tables and four chairs on the sidewalk.
SipUrban Farmhouse had to go before town council with the request because town code requires permission before any objects can be placed in a public right of way. Owner Kristen Latham said the tables are small, do not obstruct the sidewalk and offer customers a pet-friendly option.
Councilman Scotty Edler said he approved of the idea because it gives downtown Milton a more welcoming vibe.
