Milton woman dies in hit-and-run collision
A Milton woman, 33, died Nov. 2 after police say she was struck by a vehicle near Farmington.
The woman was standing in the middle of South Dupont Highway south of Main Street at 6:47 p.m. when she was struck by an unknown vehicle, police said. The vehicle did not stop, and the driver fled the scene, police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld until her family and relatives are notified.
The northbound lanes of South Dupont Highway were closed for about four hours while the scene was investigated and the roadway was cleared.
