New mermaid names due to Besche Furniture by Feb. 17

Besche Furniture, a family-owned and -operated furniture store in Sussex County, is looking for help to name its new mermaid.
This large and brightly colored mermaid will be seated on the shore of the pond next to the store on the Lewes-Georgetown Highway.
“We have had a cutout mermaid there for quite a few years, and it’s now time to replace her,” said Mike Besche, owner of Besche Furniture. “So, we have decided to have some fun and let people to suggest a name for her. Ultimately, the person who gives us the name we use for our new mermaid will win a new La-Z-Boy recliner.”
To enter the contest, people can stop by the store and fill out a name form or go to the Besche Furniture Facebook page and find the mermaid post.
“Our Presidents’ Sale is going on now, and we plan on announcing the winner of the recliner after that ends,” said Besche. There is no purchase necessary to enter. Organizers request only one name entry per person.
