New Milton traffic signal up and running

July 21, 2025

The new traffic signal at Mulberry Street and Route 16 in Milton is officially up and running.

The signal was installed in late June and went live July 21.

The Delaware Department of Transportation had been planning for the signal for more than a year, but the project was delayed by utility relocation work.

The installation of the traffic signal comes after the death of a 74-year-old Ellendale woman June 6, when the victim’s car drifted out past the stop signs and was struck by a Sussex County EMS vehicle that was responding to an emergency call.
